A train of length 50m is moving with a constant speed of 10m/s.
Calculate the time taken by the train to cross an electric pole
and a bridge of length 250 m. (5s, 30s) (AS)​

Distance covered by train the cross the bridge (from front of engine to back of last wagon )   

d=250+50=300 m

Speed of train  v=10 m/s

Thus time taken    t=vd

⟹ t=10300=30 sec

OR

5 sec and 30 sec

Therefore, the time is taken by the train to cross the bridge and the pole is 30 sec.
