The time taken to cross bridge is 30 seconds and to cross electric pole is 20 seconds.

Given:

Train length = 50 m

Train speed = 10 m/s

Length of electric pole and bridge = 250 m

Solution:

Time taken is calculated by calculating the speed of the train and the total distance to be traveled. The total distance to be covered is length of train and length of bridge.

Total distance, d = 50 + 250 = 300 m

Speed, s = 10 m/s

Time,\ t = \frac{d}{s}

t = \frac{300}{10}

t = 30 sec to cross bridge.

Time taken to cross pole:

Distance, d = 250 - 50 = 200 m

t = \frac{d}{s}

= \frac{200}{10}

t = 20 sec to cross electric pole.
