A train of mass 50000kg initially running at a velocity of 72km/hr, when breaks are applied its velocity changed to 32km/hr.calculate the work done by the breaks

mass of train=50000kg
initial velocity=72km/h×5/18=20m/s
final velocity=32km/h×5/18=8.89m/s
speed decrease by breaks=20-8.89
=11.11m/s
according to question

work done=energy possess
work done=1/2×m×v×v
work done=1/2×50000×11.11×11.11
work done=3085802.5J
