A train passes a station platform in 36 seconds and a man standing on platform in 20 seconds if the speed of a train is 54 kilometre per hour what is the length of the platform

Speed of the train = 54 km/h = 15 m/s

Distance covered = speed × time

x = 15 × 36

x = 540 m

Now, let the length of the train be y.

y = speed × time

y = 15 × 20

y = 300 m

Now, the length of the platform = x - y

= 540 - 300

Length of the platform = 240 m
