A train passes over a 400 m long bridge. lf the speed of train is 30 m/s , and the train takes 20 s to cross the bridge, what is the length of the train?

Before solving it, what you should know is that: To cross the bridge, the train will have to cover a distance equal to the sum of length of the bridge and length of the train.

speed of train = 30 m/s
time taken = 20s
distance covered = 30 × 20 = 600m

now, length of bridge = 400m
length of train = 600 - 400 = 200m
That is your answer.
