A train passes through a tunnel 600m long . A guard observed that it remains for a minute in tunnel.If the train is 250m long,calculate the speed of the train.

Length of the train = 250 m


length of the tunnel is = 600 m


total length = 600+ 250 m


850 m


now , time = 60 sec .


so speed = total distance / total time


=> 850m / 60 s


14 .16 m / s .

Length of the train - 250 m

length of the tunnel - 600 m

total length - 250+600 =850

time - 60 sec

speed - distance / time = 850/60 = 14.16 m/sec
