Answer:

Length of the platform

= speed of train x extra time taken to cross the platform.

= 72 kmph x12 seconds

Since unit is different so we will make it with same unit.

So ,Now we will Convert 72 kmph into

m/sec

As we know

1kmph =  \frac{5}{8} m\s

72kmph =  \frac{5}{18}  \times 72 = 20m \second

Therefore, length of the platform

= 20 m/s x 12 sec

= 240 meters.

Answer:

speed of the train= 90Km/hr= (90×5/18) m/s=

25m/s

time taken by the train to cross the signal= time taken by it to cover 250m

=250m/ 25m/s = 10s
