The first step is to calculate the velocity of the car during the 5 hours. Since

v=d/t

Where  v  is velocity,  d  is distance and  t  is time. From this, we can work out that the velocity is

v=200/5=40

The velocity is 40 kilometres per hour. By rearranging the first equation, we find that

d=v×t

Therefor, the distance covered in 3 hours is

d=40×7=280

The car will travel 280 kilometres in 7 hours.
