A train's velocity at time t=0 was +4 m/s. It accelerated uniformly at +0.2 m/s² for 10 seconds. Find its
average speed (in m/s) during that time and mark that as your answer

Velocity v1 achieve in time t1,due to acceleration, a1=0.2ms−2  

  v1=u1+at1

 ⇒v1=0+0.2t1

Velocity reduce to zero in time t2, due to retardation, a2=−0.4ms−2

  v2=v1+at2

 ⇒0=v1−0.4t2

Add time

  t1+t2=0.2v1+0.4v1

 ⇒30×60=v1×7.5

 ⇒v1=240
