From the equation
v²– u² = 2as
First of all we need to find a
a= v–u/t
a=10–40/60
a=–30/60
a=–1/2
v²– u²=2as
10²–40²=2×–1/2×s
100–1600= –s
–1500=–s
s=1500 m
