Let initial velocity be = 0 m/sec

Let initial Time be = 0 sec

We have,

Final velocity= 40 km/h (convert it into m/sec)

                      = 40 * 5 / 18

                      = 100/9 m/sec

Time = 10 minutes (convert it into seconds)

        = 10 * 60 (as in 1 minute there are 60 secs)

        = 600 seconds

NOW,

Acceleration = change in velocity / time taken for change

                     =  100/9 - 0  /   600 - 0

                     =   100/9  / 600

                     =  100/9 * 1/600

                     = 1/54  or 0.01 m/sec ^ 2  (answer)

hope this is helpful to you !
