Answer:

Acceleration = 240 km/h^{2}

Explanation:

The train is initially at rest :

u = 0 km/h

The train is moving with a speed of :

v = 40 km/h

t = 10 mins = 10/60 hours

                  = 1/6 hours

From first law of motion :

a = v - u /t

  = 40/ 1/6

  = 40 x 6 = 240 km/h^{2}

If you are looking for answer in m/s^{2}:

v = 40 x 5/18 = 11.11 m/s

t = 10 mins = 10 x 60 = 600 s

a = v - u/t

  = 11.11/600 = 0.018 m/s^{2}
