Given: t=10 min=10×60=600s

Initial speed of train is given as: u=0 m/s

Final speed of train is given as: v=40 km/h

= 40 ×1000/3600

=11.1 m/s

Now acceleration is given by the relation:

a= v-u/t =11.1−0/600

=0.0185 m/s2
