Given:

  • u = 0
  • v = 40 km/h = 40 × 5/18 = 11.12m/s
  • t = 10min = 10 × 60 = 600s
  • a = ?

To Find:

  • Find acceleration ?

Solution:

Using 1st equation of motion

v = u + at

11.12 = 0 + a(600)

→ 11.12 = a(600)

→ a = 11.12/600

→ a = 1112/(600 × 100)

→ a = 185.34/10000

→ a = 0.018534 m/s²
