according to equation of motion;

Final velocity(m/s) = Initial velocity(m/s) + acceleration*time(m/s² *s)

Given data; initial velocity = 0 m/s (starts from rest)

final velocity = 40 km/hr = (40*1000)/3600 m/s = 11.112 m/s

time = 10 mins = 10*60 secs = 600 secs

now substituting the data into the equation of motion

11.12 = 0 +a*(600)

a = 0.0185 m/s²
