A train starting from a station accelerates uniformly over the last 10 km coming to a stop at another station 50km away from the first station. Draw the velocity time graph

This trains accelerates for sometime and decelerate towards the second station.

It means that at no point does it travel at a constant speed.

The motion graph of this train will therefore be triangular shaped.

The area under the graph gives us the distance covered by the train.

In our case the area of the triangular shape is thus :

50 + 10= 60 km
