Answer :-

Acceleration of the train is 0.35 m/ .

Explanation :-

We have :-

→ Final velocity = 21 m/s

→ Time taken = 1 min = 60 sec

Also, initial velocity of the train will be 0 m/s as it was initially at rest.

______________________________

According to the 1st equation of motion :-

v = u + at

Where :-

v is final velocity.

u is initial velocity.

a is acceleration.

t is time taken.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ 21 = 0 + a(60)

⇒ 21 = 0 + 60a

⇒ 21 = 60a

⇒ a = 21/60

a = 0.35 m/s²

Some Extra Information :-

The 3 equations of motion, for a body moving with uniform acceleration are :-

• v = u + at

• s = ut + ½at²

• v² - u² = 2as

Given :-

A train starting from railway station attain a speed of 21m/s in one minute.

To Find :-

Acceleration

Solution :-

We know that

1 min = 60 sec

Now

a = v - u/t

a = 21 - 0/60

a = 21/60

a = 7/20

a =  0.35

Hence,

Acceleration is  0.35 m/s²
