A train starting from rest aquires a velocity of 54km hr in 20secs .Calculate the acceleration and distance travelled by it.

final velocity = 54 Km/ hr
= 54*5/18
= 15 m/s
time = 20 sec
initial velocity = 0 m/s
v = u + at
15 = 0 + a(20)
a = 15/20
a = 3/4 m/s^2
now ,from the following equation-
v^2= u^2 + 2aS
(15)^2 = 0 + 2(3/4)S
225= (3/2)S
S = 225*2/3
S = 150 m
= 54*5/18
= 15 m/s
