Hi there !!
Here's your answer
Initial Velocity of the train (u) = 0m/s [ the train starts from rest ]
Acceleration = 0.2m/s²
Time = 5min = 5×60 = 300 sec
We will find the speed using the formula for 1st equation equation of motion :
v = u + at
v = 0.2(300)
v = 60
Thus,
The speed is 60m/s
Finding the distance using the 2nd equation of motion
s = ut + 1/2at²
s = 0 + 1/2 × 2/10 × 300²
s = 9000m
Thus ,
The speed is 60m/s and the distance is 9000m or 9km
