Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

given A train starts from Delhi with a certain no. of passengers. At Ghaziabad 110 got down and 100 get in. At Aligarh 50% get down and 25 get in. At Kanpur half of them get down and 50 get in. When the train leaves Kanour there are 200 passengers. How many boarded the train at Delhi?

   Let y be total number of passengers. 110 passengers got down at Ghaziabad.

  So remaining passengers will be x – 110.

  Again 100 people got in.

  So passengers will be y – 110 + 100

                          = y – 10

 At Aligarh

   50% passengers got down.

  So remaining will be y – 10 / 2

  Now 25 people will get in

  So number of passengers at Aligarh will be y – 10 / 2 + 25

  At Kanpur half  will get down and 50 will get in.

     y – 10 /2 + 25

      y + 40 / 4 + 50 = 200

         y + 40 = 600

            y = 560
