velocity of train in 5 sec. A body possess potential energy of 460 J whosen

1) given: u = 0

v = 5 m/s

t = 3 sec

v after 5 sec = ?

Solution = According to Newton 1st equation:

v = u + at

5 = 0 + a × 3

a = 5 ÷ 3

a = 1.6 m/s

Similarly v after 5 sec

v = u + at

= 5 + 1.6 ×5

= 13 m/s

Therefore, ans = 13 m/s

2) Potential energy = mgh

460J = 20 kg × 10m/s × h

460 = 200h

h = 460÷200

h = 2.3 m
