v=u + at

u=0, starts from rest

v=10m/s² * 60 seconds

v=600m/s

v=distance/Time

distance=Velocity * Time

=600*60

36000m

Correct question : A train starts from rest and accelerates uniformly at 10 m/s for 1 minute.

To find : What is the velocity after and distance.

Applying formula :

1) Velocity = Final velocity + Acceleration × Time.

2) Distance = Velocity × Time.

Calculations :

→ v = 10 (60)

v = 600 m/s

→ D = 600 (60)

D = 36,000 m

Therefore,

  1. Velocity = 600 m/s.
  2. Distance = 36,000 m.
