A train starts from station with constant acceleration for 2 minutes. If it covers distance of 400 METER in this period, find the accerlation

Answer:

Initial velocity u=0, time taken t= 2*60 s, traveled distance S= 400 m and suppose acceleration= a,

then from second law of motion S = u*t + 1/2*a*t^2

400= 0*2*60 + 1/2*a*(2*60)^2 Or 800= a*14400 Or a= 8/144

Acceleration a= 0.055 m/s^2
