Given : The Train starts from Station X at the Rate of 60 kmph and Reaches Station Y in 45 Minutes.

Let us Calculate the Distance between Station X and Station Y

\bold{We\;know\;that\;:45\;Minutes = \frac{45}{60} = \frac{3}{4}\;Hour}

\bold{We\;also\;know\;that\;:Distance = (Speed \times Time)}

\bold{\implies Distance\;between\;Station\;X\;and\;Station\;Y\; = (60)(\frac{3}{4}) = 45\;km}

During the Return Journey from Station Y to Station X, The Speed of the Train was Reduced by 6 kmph.

⇒ Speed of the Train during the Return Journey = (60 - 6) = 54 kmph

\bold{\implies Time = \frac{Distance}{Speed}}

\bold{\implies Time = \frac{45}{54} = \frac{5}{6} = 50\;Minutes}

The Train takes 5 Minutes more to return from Station Y to Station X
