Let n be the usual speed, and n+5 be the faster speed. Then:

300/n=300/n+5 +2

300(n+5)=300n+2n²+10n

2n²+10n-1500=0

n²+5n-750=0

(n+30)(n-25)=0

n=25 km/h

Answer:

300/x minus 300/x+5=2

300(1/xminus1/x+5)=2

x square +5x minus 750=0

x square +30x minus 25x minus 750=0

X=25km/hr
