Answer :-

111.1km/hr

Explanation :-

Given :

Time taken to cover go from station A to point B = 4hr

Distance travalled from station A to B  = 500km

Time taken in returning = 5hr

Distance travalled from station B to A  = 500km

To Find :

Average speed => ?

Solution :

We know,

\boxed{\sf{}Average\ speed=\dfrac{Total\ distance}{Total\ time\ taken}}

Total distance,

= (500 + 500)km

= 1000km

Total time taken,

= (4 + 5)hr

= 9hr

Put their values and solve it.

\sf{}:\implies \dfrac{1000km}{9hr}

\sf{}\therefore 111.11km/hr

Therefore,average speed is equal to 111.1km/hr

☆Know more☆

The average distance travelled per unit time by an object is called average speed.

Average speed is the ratio of total distance covered and total time taken.

\boxed{\sf{}v=\dfrac{s}{t}}

Where, v = Average Speed, s = Total distance covered, t = total time taken.

SI unit of average speed is meter per second (m/s).
