Distance from Multan at which both trains meet each other is 143.1818 km

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given their are two trains one leave from Multan to Lahore at 7 AM with a speed of 60 km/hr and one leave at Lahore to Multan at 8 AM at a speed of 28 km/hr

Distance between Multan and Lahore = 192 km

Distance traveled by train which leave Multan in 1 hour = 1×60 = 60 km

Now at 8 Am distance between both the train = 192 - 60 = 122 km

Now relative speed of trains = 60 + 28 = 88 km/hr ( As in opposite direction speeds are added )

So time after which both the train meet =\frac{122}{88}=1.3863hour

So distance traveled by train who leaves Multan after 8 AM = 1.3836×60 = 83.1818 km

So distance from Multan at which both train meet = 83.1818+60 = 143.1818 km
