A train travelling at 20 m/s accelerate at 0.5m/s2 for 30 seconds. How far will it

travel in this time.​

Explanation: Initial velocity of the train(u) = 20m/s

Acceleration of the train(a) = 0.5m/s²

Time taken(t) = 30 sec

Now we have to distance(s) travelled using the second equation of motion :

s = ut + 1/2 at²

s = 20(30) + 1/2(5/10)(30)(30)

s = 600 + 1/4 (900)

s = 600 + 225

s = 825

therfore the car travelled 825 m in 30 sec
