A train travelling at 20 m/s accelerates at 0.5m/s2 for 30 seconds.how far will it travel in this time

You have to calculate…

s=0.5∗a∗t2s=0.5∗a∗t2

s=0,52∗302s=0,52∗302

Add:

s=v∗ts=v∗t

s=20∗30s=20∗30

You only have to add these distances together and now you have the distance, a train travels, when being at 20m/s20m/sand accelerating at 0.5m/s2.
