Given:-
- Initial velocity of car (u) = 20m/s
- Acceleration of the car (a) = 0.5m/s²
- Time Taken by car (t) = 30s
To Find:-
Distance (s) travel by car in this time.
Solution:-
By using 2nd equation of motion
⟹ s = ut +1/2at²
Put the values which is given above
⟹ s = 20×30 + 1/2 ×0.5×30²
⟹ s = 600 + 0.5 ×15 ×30
⟹ s = 600 + 7.5 × 30
⟹ s = 600 + 225
⟹ s = 825m
∴ The Distance travel by car in this time is 825m.
Additional Information !!
Some equation of motion are
⟹ v = u +at
⟹s = ut +1/2at².
⟹ v² = u² + 2as
Here,
- v is the final velocity
- u is the initial velocity
- a is the acceleration
- s is the displacement or Distance
- t is the time taken
