difference between flux and slag. Flux is the substance added to to molten metals to bond with impurities that can be readily removed. Slag is the waste material which is removed. In metallurgy, substance used to remove or prevent the formation of undesirable oxide and other substances during welding

Answer:

Length of train =150m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the train =x metre

then total length to be travel by train to cross 250m long platform = length of platform + length of train

= (250+x) metre

speed = 48 km/h = 40/3 m/s

length =(250+x) metre

time = 30 seconds

We know that:-

 \frac{distance}{speed}  = time \\  \frac{250 + x}{ \frac{40}{3} }  = 30 \\ 250 + x = 30 \times  \frac{40}{3}  \\  250 + x = 400 \\ x = 400 - 250 \\ x = 150 \: metre

I hope it will help you.
