A train travelling at a uniform speed covers a distance of 255 km in 1½ hours. Find the speed of the train and the distance covered in 3⅘ hours. ​

Given:-

Distance=255km

T=1.5 hr

Formula used:-

S= \frac{D}{T}

Solution 1:-

S= \frac{255km}{1.5h}

S= 170km/h

Solution 2:-

Speed=170km/h

Hence,

Speed in

3 \frac{4}{5} hr

 =  \frac{19}{5}

Distance=S×T

 \frac{19}{5}  \times 170

=646km
