A train travelling due north on a straight raileway track covers a distance at a speed 5km in 10 minutes. What is the speed and the velocity of the train expressed in SI units?

as the train is travelling in a straight path so it's speed and velocity are same

5km distance=5000m

10 minutes=(10*60)=600 seconds

thus speed and velocity of the train will be

(5000÷600)m/s=(25/3)m/s or 8. 33m/s
