Answer:

case 1

distance=110km and time=2hrs

so speed =distance/time

=110/2= 55km/hr

case 2

distance=245km and time =7/2hrs

speed= 245 divided by 7/2 which is70km/hr.

their ratio will be speed of train : speed of car

=55/70 which will be

=11/14 or 11:14

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance traveled by train = 110 km

Time taken by train = 2 hours

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

Speed = \frac{110}{2}=55 km/hr

Speed of train = 55 km/hr

Distance traveled by car = 245 km

Time taken by car = 7/2

Speed \:  \:  of \:  \:  car = \frac{245}{\frac{7}{2}}= 70 km/hr

Ratio of the speed of the train of that of the car =\frac{55}{70}=\frac{11}{14}=11:14

Hence the ratio of the speed of the train of that of the car is 11:14
