A train travels 20 km a uniform speed of 60 km b. and the next 20 kom at a uniform speed of 80 km
Culate its average speed

Answer:

Average Speed = Total distance / Total time.

T1 to cover 20 Km = 20/60 = 1/3 hour.

T2 to cover next 20 = 20/80 = 1/4 hour

t1 + t2 = 1/3+1/4= 7/12 hour.

s1+ s2. = 20+20 = 40 Km

Average speed = 40 / 7/12

= 40×12/7

= 480/7

= 68.57 Kmph
