Answer:

Let the speed of bike be x km \hr

Then time taken in 200 km =

x

200

hr

If speed increased 5 km\hr then speed is x+5 km\hr

Then time taken in 200 km with speed (x+5) km\hr =

x+5

200

hr

x

200

x+5

200

=2⇒x=20 km\hr

Distance the train travels = 200 km

Time to by the train = 12½ h

We know that, Speed = Distance ÷ Time

:. Speed of the train = 200 ÷ 12½

  =200 \div 12 \times \frac{1}{2} \\ = 200 \div \frac{25}{2} \\ = 200 \times \frac{2}{25} \\ = 8 \times 2 \\ = 16

Ans. The speed of the train is 16km/h.
