We have,

Distance travelled = 550 km

Time taken = 10 hrs

Now,

Speed = distance / time

= 550/10

= 55 km/h

Again,

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

So,

55 km/h = 55 x 5/18 m/s

= 15.27 m/s

The speed of train is 55km/h and 15.28 m/s.

Given:

A train travels a distance of 550 km in 10 hrs.

To find:

Find its speed in km/h and m/s

Solution:

We have distance and time and have to apply formula to find out speed

Speed = Distance/time

= 550/10

= 55 km/h

To convert speed into m/s, we have to multiply it by 5/18

Speed = 55 * 5/18

= 15.28 m/s

Hence the speed is 55km/h and 15.28 m/s.
