A train travels along a straight line at constant speed of 60km/h for a distance 'd' and then cover another distance equal to '2d' in same direction at constant speed of 80km/h what is the average speed of train and its average velocity for whole journey?

Heya mate

Answer:-

As we know velocity v=

t

s

where s= displacement and t= time.

As the distance covered from point A to B is same to the distance covered from point B to A, thus there will be no displacement, s=0.

Hence its average velocity will be 0 but it average speed will be

v

avg.speed

60+80

=70
