SPEED OF THE TRAIN , V = 180 KM/H

DISTANCE TRAVELLED , D = 360 KM

TIME TAKEN , T =?

SPEED = DISTANCE / TIME TAKEN

   V      = D/T

  180 = 360/T

T = 360/180

T = 2 HOURS

  = 2*60*60

  = 2*3600

  = 7,200 SECONDS .

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Thanks

The time taken by the train to travel a distance of 360 km at a speed of 180 km/h = 2 hours.
The time taken by the train to travel a distance of 630 km at a speed of 180 km/h = 3.5 hours.

Given:

Speed of the train (v) = 180 km/h

To find:

  • Time taken by train to travel a distance of 360 km.
  • Time taken by train to travel a distance of 630 km.

Step by step explanation:

Let v be the speed of the train = 180 km/h
Let d be the distance travelled by train.
Let t be the time taken by the train to cover the distance.
Formula used:
Speed (v) = Distance (d) / Time (t)

→ Now, to calculate the time taken by the train
Time taken by train (t) = Distance (d) / Speed (v)

(i) Here, v = 180 km/h and d = 360km
   There is no need for the conversion of units as all are in same given
   measurements.
⇒ Time taken by train = 360/180
                                     = 2 hours

∴ The time taken by the train to travel a distance of 360 km at a speed of 180 km/h = 2 hours.

(ii) Here, v = 180 km/h and d = 630km
   There is no need for the conversion of units as all are in same given
   measurements.
⇒ Time taken by train = 630/180
                                     = 3.5 hours

∴ The time taken by the train to travel a distance of 630 km at a speed of 180 km/h = 3.5 hours.
