a train travels at 300 km at an average of 30 kph and further travels at the the same distance at an average of 40 kph. what is the average speed at the whole distance​

case 1

time= distance/ speed

=>time = 300/30=10 hr

case 2

time= distance/ speed

=>time= 300/40= 7.5 hr

total time = 10+7.5= 17.5 hr

Average speed= total distance/ total time

= 300+300/17.5

=900/17.5

=51.42 kmph
