Given :–

  • A train travels at speed of 180 km/h.
  • Time = 4 hours.

To Find :–

  • Distance travel in 4 hours.

Solution :–

We know that,

→ Speed =  \frac{Distance}{Time}

But here speed and time is already given in the question.

I.e.

  • Speed = 180 km/h
  • Time = 4 hours
  • Distance = ?

→ 180 km/h =  \frac{Distance}{4}

Therefore,

we need to change the formula by turning the speed and distance.

I.e. Speed is in the left side now so it will turn to the right side and same as the speed the distance turns right to the left but distance will be divided in the right side by time so, when the distance turns to the left it will be multiple by 1 or it will just remains distance only because any number which is multiply by 1 so the result is always remains same and time is divided in the right side so after turns speed on the right side then the time multiply the speed.

So, the formula will be,

→ Distance = Speed × Time

→ Distance = 180 km/  \cancel{h} × 4  \cancel {h}

→ Distance = 720 km.

Hence,

720km far will it travel in 4 hours.
