Time taken to cover the distance AB = 45 min

speed = 108km/h

distance = speed × time
AB = 108×3/4 {given time = 45 min =45/60hour}
=81 km

Point C is reached in 40 min
this means it lies in between A and B

Distance travelled in 40 min
AC= 108×2/3 {given time = 40min = 40/60hour}
= 72 km

BC=AB-AC
BC=81-72 km
BC = 9km
