A train travels for 30 min with a velocity of 36 km/hr and then for 40 min with a velocity of 54 km/hr in same direction. Find the average velocity of train for entire journey.

Distance traveled in next 40 mins = 54 x 2/3 = 36 km = 36000 m.

time taken = 70 mins = 4200 seconds.

Hence the average velocity is 46.2 kilometers per hour.
