Answer:

The Average Speed is 40 km/hr.

Explanation:

Distance 1 = 15 km

Speed 1 = 30 km/hr

Time 1 = Speed = Distance/Time

= 30 = 15/T

= 30T = 15

= T = 0.5 hr

Distance 2 = 75 km

Speed = 50 km/hr

Time 2 = Speed = Distance/Time

= 50 = 75/T

= 50T = 75

= T = 1.5 hr

Distance 3 = 10 km

Speed 3 = 20 km/hr

Time 3 = Speed = Distance/Time

= 20 = 10/T

= 20T = 10

= T = 0.5 hr

∴ Average Speed = Total Distance Covered/Total Time Taken

= (15+75+10) / (0.5+1.5+0.5) km/hr

= 100/2.5 km/hr

= 40 km/hr

Hope this helps.
