Given

A transformer working on a 240V AC supplies a voltage of 8V to an electric bell in the circuit. The number of turns in the primary coil is 4800

To Find

The number of turns in the secondary coil

Solution

We know that

=》Vs/Vp = Ns/Np

Here

  • Vs = voltage in secondary coil
  • Vp = voltage in primary coil
  • Ns = no. of turns in secondary coil
  • Np = no. of turns in primary coil

According to the question

We are asked to find the number of turns in the secondary coil

Hence

We must find "Ns"

Therefore

=》Ns = Vs/Vp x Np

Given that

A transformer working on a 240V AC supplies a voltage of 8V to an electric bell in the circuit. The number of turns in the primary coil is 4800

Hence

  • Vp = 240 V
  • Vs = 8 V
  • Np = 4800

Substituting the values

We get

=》Ns = 8/240 x 4800

On further simplification

We get

=》Ns = 160

Therefore

Number of turns in secondary coil = 160

AnswEr :-

A transformer working on 240v ac supplya voltage of 8w to an electric bell in the circuit the number of turns in the primary coil is 4800

GivEn :-

  • A Tranformer Working on 240 V ( Voltage in Primary Coil)

  • A Voltage of 8V To an electric bell ( Voltage in Secondary Coil)

  • The Number of turns in Primary Coil = 4800 ( Number of Turns In Primary Coil)

To FinD :-

  • The Number if Turn in Secondary Coil

Solution :-

We Know that

 \boxed{ \bold{ \pink{ \frac{vs}{vp} =  \frac{ns}{np}  }{} }{} }{}

Here

 \boxed{ \bold{ \purple{vs= volt \: in \: secondary \: coil}{} }{} }{}  \\   \boxed{ \bold{ \purple{vp = volt \: in \: secondary \: coil}{} }{} }{} \\  \\  \boxed{ \bold{ \purple{ns = no \: of \: turns \: in \: secondary \: coil}{} }{}} \\  \\  \boxed{ \bold{ \purple{np = no \: of \: turns \: in \: primary \: coil}{} }{} }{}

To Find the Number of Turns In secondary Coil.

 \boxed{ \bold{ \pink{ns =  \frac{vs}{vp} \times np }{} }{} }{}

Where we Substitude the Value we get

 \boxed{ \bold{ \pink{ns =  \frac{8}{240}  \times 4800}{} }{} }{}

Hence we get The Number of turn in Secondary Coil =

 \boxed{ \bold{ \red{ns = 160 \: turns}{} }{} }{}
