A transistor is operated in common emitter configuration of constant collector voltage Vc is equal to 1.5V such that a change in the base current from 100μA to 150 μA produces a change in the collector current from 5 mA to 10mA a the current gain (β) is

Explanation:

AC current gain β is defined as the the ratio of the collector to the base current at constant collector voltage,

β = [∆ic / ∆ib ] vc

Given

∆ic = 10mA - 5 mA = 5mA

∆ic = 150 μA - 100 μA = 50μA

β = 5 mA / 50 × 10^-3 mA = 100

∴ A the current gain β is 100 !
