frequency = n = 300 Hz
v = n/λ
In 2nd overtone, 3 loops are formed ∴ l = 3 /2 λ
∴ λ = 2l/ 3
Now, v = nλ
v = n(21/3)
v=300x(2/3)x0.7
∴ v = 140 m/s
∴speed of transverse wave, when it vibrates in emitting the second overtone of frequency 300 Hz is 140 m/s
