Area of Trapezoid = h(b1+b2) / 2
Where b1 and b2 are the bases or parallel sides

Therefore the equation is..
6(40 + b2) / 2 = 1100
6(40 + b2) = 2200
40 + b2 = 1100 / 3
b2 = 1100 / 3 - 40 = 980 / 3 or 326 2/3

One parallel side =40
H=6
Let the other side be x
Area of trapezium = 1/2(sum of parallel sides) *h
1100=1/2(40+x)*6
1100=20 +x/2 *6
1100=20 +3x
3x=1100 - 20
3x=1080
x=1080/3
x=360

Therefore the other parallel side =360
