Given   :  A trapezoidal garden has an upper base of 7 meters and lower base of 12 meters.

The distance beetween  the parallel bases is 9 meters.

the garden is to be planted with Bermuda grass,

To Find :  what is the shape of the garden?

a.triangle b.rectangle  c.trapezoid d.paralleogram

Solution:

A trapezoidal garden is already given in Question

Hence  the shape of the garden is  .trapezoid

As  its has 2 parallel sides  7 m and 12 m

Area of garden = (1/2) * ( sum of parallel sides ) * distance between them

= (1/2) * (7 + 12) * 9

= 161/2

= 80.5 m²
