The evidences are the presence of Buddhism, characters of mythology like Ram, Sita, Hanuman etc., Even southeast Asian architecture is highly influenced by Indian style of architecture. Hence countries such as Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Fiji, Malaysia and Singapore, parts of China (Yunan province) and Phillipines are known as Indian colonies in south-east Asia
